POPRI EUSAIR Youth: Unveiling the Future of Entrepreneurship in the Adriatic Ionian Region

Šibenik, Croatia - May 13, 2024 - EUSAIR POPRI Youth, the esteemed international competition fostering entrepreneurial innovation among young minds across the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, is set to illuminate the entrepreneurial landscape once again on May 15th and 16th, 2024. Hosted within the vibrant atmosphere of the EUSAIR Forum in Šibenik, Croatia, this event promises to be a dynamic convergence of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

POPRI EUSAIR Youth brings together young talents from 10 EUSAIR countries for the fourth consecutive year.

The event will kick off on May 15th with an Entrepreneurial Meetup and networking event moderated by Ana Vlahov and Maria Mesarić. Dr. Aleš Ekar, CEO at Iskra Shipyard, and Nella Slavica, Director of the Public Institute of Krka National Park, will share their invaluable insights and experiences, offering a glimpse into the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. Maria Mesarić, a young POPRI ambassador, will enrich the discussion with her entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the transformative power of youth-driven initiatives.

The highlight of the event, the Youth Business Model Competition, will take place on May 16th, providing young participants with a platform to present their innovative ideas aimed at addressing societal challenges and promoting sustainable development. A distinguished jury panel, comprising startup experts such as Vanja Perić, Tina Koler, Ana Anžej, Michael Freer, Diana Mudrinić, and Anna Quaia, will evaluate the business models and pitches and provide constructive feedback, nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among participants.

The Award Ceremony, where the best business ideas of high school and university students will be recognized and celebrated, will mark the culmination of EUSAIR POPRI Youth.

As part of the award package, the top three teams from both high school and university categories will earn the opportunity to participate in FOOD-athon, an exclusive hackathon focusing on sustainable food supply. Scheduled for October 16-18, 2024, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, FOOD-athon aims to harness innovation for a greener future, supported by Primorski tehnološki park, Danfoss Slovenia, SPIRIT Slovenia, and the EUSAIR Facility Point.
